This itinerary takes in many of the highlights of PNG, touring the varied tribes of the Highlands and visiting the relaxed island provinces. The main focus of the tour is discovering the country’s cultural diversity but there are also a number of opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts to step into the rainforest, where birds of paradise can be spotted, before ending the trip relaxing on an idyllic beach.
Extensions
The flight to Port Moresby is a long one – similar to travelling to Australia. Therefore, it is a good idea to break the journey in either or both directions in Singapore, from where it is also possible to add on a relaxing break in either Malaysia or Thailand.
