Giant wheel gives grand view of Singapore: 29-02-2008

Travellers visiting Singapore will be greeted by a brand new attraction when the Singapore Flyer takes its first flight tomorrow.

The giant observation wheel will show visitors breathtaking views from the top of the world - or more specifically 165 metres.

A 360-degree view of the Marina Bay and parts of Malaysia and Indonesia are to be expected for anyone taking a 30-minute ride in one of the Flyer's capsules.

Patsy Ong, managing director of Adval Brand Group who are marketing the project, said the Singapore Flyer would be a great success.

"Its unique and exhilarating top-of-the-world experience makes the Singapore Flyer a must-see and compelling visitor destination." she claimed.

"The opening of the Singapore Flyer will herald a new age for tourism in Singapore, especially with the changing face of Marina Bay and Singapore’s efforts to further enhance itself as an exciting cosmopolitan city in the region," she added.
