Rimba Lodge
Tanjung Puting National Park
Rimba Lodge is set right on the edge of the gently flowing Sekonyer river beside Tanjung Puting National Park.
The timber lodge is built in a series of adjoining elevated pavilions with each pavilion containing three rooms and its own covered verandah and boardwalk to the river’s edge. The 32 rooms all have fans and mosquito drapes as well as western toilets and showers.
The diamond, emerald and amethyst rooms we recommend have air conditioning, fans and temperamental hot water; sapphire rooms have (temperamental) hot water and fan; ruby rooms have cold water and fan. There is a restaurant here with limited western food and numerous local dishes served by friendly staff.
Electricity is powered by a generator which runs from 5pm to 8am so the rooms can get very hot during the day - but most people are out exploring at this time.
