Overnight flight from the UK to Bali.
On arrival in Bali you will need to obtain your visa (US$25pp for 30 days) before your private guides meets you and takes you to your nearby hotel.
Enjoy the day relaxing after your long flight.
Day 4Sanur - Denpasar - Tambulaka - Waikabubak
You will be taken to the airport in time for your flight over to Sumba where you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel around three hours away.
The overland journey showcases some fantastic scenery.
You have seven nights in Sumba and a driver, guide and vehicle at your disposal for the entire time to ensure you see as much of the island as possible and see any ceremonies that occur.
Day 5Waikabubak
Enjoy an easy introduction to Sumba today with a trip to nearby villages to gain an insight in to the daily lives of the villagers.
Day 6Waikabubak
Spend the day visiting some the the regions highlights including megalithic tombs and traditional villages.
Day 7Waikabubak
Head over to eastern Sumba today and see the village of Prailiang - one of the oldest on the island.
You will move hotels today to a property nearer the coast.
Day 8Waikabubak
Your local guide or hotel staff will probably know of a ceremony going on nearby which you will be invited to.
Day 9Waikabubak
Spend the last two days in Sumba around your hotel - perhaps wander down to the beach or just relax around the pool.
Day 10Waikabubak
Enjoy your final day in Sumba at leisure.
Day 11Waikabubak - Sumba - Denpasar - Jimbaran
Fly back to Bali where you will be met at the airport by your private guide and taken to your nearby beach front hotel.
Free time to enjoy the beach or your hotel pool on your final full day away.
