Overnight flight from the UK to Java.
Day 2Singapore - Solo - Yogyakarta
Obtain your visa on arrival (US$25pp for 30 days) before meeting your private guide who will take you on the 90 minute transfer to your hotel in Jogja.
You have the remainder of the day free after your long journey.
Enjoy a city tour of Jogja this morning, the highlight being the chance to explore the Kraton (Sultan's Palace).
Travel past beautiful paddy fields and unearthed temple ruins as you arrive at the temples of Candi Plaosan and Prambanan for a tour of these ancient sites.
You will be taken over to your hotel near Borobudur this afternoon will probably have an early night ahead of your sunrise excursion tomorrow.
Wake up before dawn for the short walk to Borobudur where you can find yourself a quiet spot on the relic to simple enjoy the moment. You will then be taken on a guided tour of the relic and learn more about the detailed carvings.
After this head to a local village which showcases rural Javan life.
Another early start as you drive to the north coast for your flight to Kalimantan. Flights times are notoriously unreliable so please make sure you bring a book!
You will be met by your team in Kalimantan and taken the short distance to your boat for the journey in to the rainforest and Tanjung Puting National Park.
**DINNER IS
You will spend the day surrounded by the flora and fauna of Tanjung Puting and will have the chance to see orang-utan at the famous Camp Leakey.
Spend another the day exploring the jungle on the look out for orang-utan!
Retrace your steps back to the airport for the flight to eastern Java, once again the flight times are very unreliable.
You have a short transfer to your beautiful hotel in Surabaya where you can enjoy more comfortable surroundings following your time in the rainforest.
Take an overland transfer south to the mountains of the Tengger massif, home to several huge volcanic peaks. An early evening ahead of tomorrow.
Rise pre dawn for the transfer in the dark up to the viewpoint where you will see the sunrise over Mount Bromo - one of the most breathtaking sights in Southeast Asia.
You will travel back down the mountains to the Dutch influenced town of Malang where you have a the rest of the day free to wander around the quaint town.
You have a short flight over to Bali from Malang.
You will be met by your Bali team and taken to your hotel in Ubud, a journey of around 80 minutes.
Spend the morning at leisure in Ubud.
This afternoon is sure to be memorable as you meet a local family who will take you around their village before you embark on a Balinese cooking class in their traditional compound.
