This itinerary will introduce you to the wonderful laid back country of Laos and the beautiful Golden Triangle area of Thailand.
Starting in Bangkok, after flying from London, you will take an internal flight to Chiang Rai before being transferred to the beautiful Anantara Resort in the Golden Triangle.
After a night in the Anantara you will take the Luangsay cruise boat down the Mekong, stopping in a village on the banks for the night. The next morning you will be transferred to Kamu lodge, an elegant tented lodge on the banks of the Mekong. After interacting with villagers and spending the night you will be transferred in the morning to Luang Prabang.
After exploring Luang Prabang you will fly to Vientiane, the peaceful capital of Laos. From Vientiane you will fly to Pakse in the south of Laos. A short transfer to the beautiful area of Tad Lo surrounded with jungle and waterfalls will follow before transferring back to Pakse where you will connect with the Wat Phou Rice barge. This elegant vessel will transport you down the river for a three day cruise, stopping at villages and the ancient Wat Phou temple.
You will end the trip staying a night on the peaceful island of Don Khong before transferring to Ubon Ratchathani for your flight to Bangkok. In Bangkok you will catch your flight back to London.
