A little further south you will stumble upon the picturesque area of Muang La and the dramatic valley of Nong Khiaw before arriving by road or boat at the cultural centre of Luang Prabang.

The Ancient is a great new boutique option in the heart of Luang Prabang. The hotel is superbly located on the same street as the famous night market, and also within short walking distance of the major temples, Mekong River and restaurants.

The hotel itself boasts a third floor open air restaurant that offers wonderful views of the town and surrounding area, and is intimate, consisting of just 12 rooms, all stylishly and individually designed.

All in all Ancient Luang Prabang offers great value, comfortable rooms and an unbeatable location.
