    The northern part of Laos is a remote region that sees few tourists. Heading north from the Thai border towards China, the town of Luang Nam Tha is the gateway to the Nam Ha National Park, with countless opportunities to explore on foot, by kayak and on mountain bikes. A little further south you will stumble upon the picturesque area of Muang La and the dramatic valley of Nong Khiaw before arriving by road or boat at the cultural centre of Luang Prabang.

This secluded lodge consists of only 19 bungalows and is situated just outside the small village of Pakbeng, giving it a wonderfully remote atmosphere.

The individual wooden bungalows are simple but beautifully designed in a local style. All have en suite facilities with hot water and are fan-cooled.

The views of the Mekong from the lodge are unparalleled - sleep with your shutters open so that the first sight that greets you in the morning is the sun rising over the mist covered mountains and the Mekong as it stretches into the distance.
