Day by Day

Day 1London

Fly from London to Bangkok, leaving the UK at lunchtime with Thai Airways.

Day 2Bangkok - Vientiane

Connect in Bangkok airport this morning for your flight to Vientiane. On arrival transfer to your centrally located hotel.

Day 3Vientiane

Full day to explore Vientiane at your leisure, be sure to visit Pha That Luang, Laos's famous golden stupa.

Day 4Vientiane - Luang Prabang

Fly onto Luang Prabang this morning. Transfer to your hotel before heading out to explore the beautiful waterfalls at Kuang Si in the afternoon.

Day 5Luang Prabang

Accompanied by your guide you have a private city tour of Luang Prabang this morning.

Day 6Luang Prabang

A day at leisure to explore the UNESCO protected town, make sure you visit the night market and consider climbing Mount Phu Si for views across the peninsula.

Day 7Luang Prabang - Pakbeng

Time to say goodbye to Luang Prabang and head north along the Mekong on the Luang Say Cruise. This evening you will stop at a small village, Pakbeng, and spend the evening in a charming lodge overlooking the Mekong.

Day 8Pakbeng - Huay Xai - Chiang Rai

Continue cruising north towards the Thai border at Huay Xai. Disembark your boat and depart Laos for Thailand. Head to Chiang Rai for a two night stay.

Day 9Chiang Rai

Full day exploring the stunning scenery of northern Thailand including some time trekking with elephants.

Day 10Chiang Rai

Transfer to the airport in Chiang Rai for your flight to Bangkok.

Day 11Bangkok

Connect in Bangkok for your return flight to the UK arriving back in London early this morning.
