Day by Day

Day 1London

Take a lunchtime flight from London Heathrow to Bangkok.

Day 2Bangkok - Chiang Rai

In Bangkok you change planes for your flight to Chiang Rai. Arriving in Chiang Rai an airport representative will greet you and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your flights.

Day 3Chiang Rai - Huay Xai - Pakbeng

This morning your guide and driver will take you to Huay Xai, where you cross the border into Laos and board the Luang Say boat. The rest of the day is spent cruising down the mighty Mekong River. This relaxing journey is a fantastic way to see the Laos countryside and get under the skin of this laid back country.

Day 4Pakbeng - Luang Prabang

You depart Pakbeng and continue to cruise down river en route you can visit the Pak Ou caves before reaching the UNESCO town of Luang Prabang.

Day 5Luang Prabang

This morning your guide and driver will take you on a tour of this charming town visiting some of the many temples and National Museum. The afternoon your guide and driver will take you outside of the town to visit the scenic Kuang Si Waterfalls, remember to take your swimming kit so that you can have a dip in the refreshing pools. Also, near by and worth a visit is a bear sanctuary.

Day 6Luang Prabang - Nong Khiaw

The morning is free to spend at your leisure. You then travel by road north of Luang Prabang to Nong Khiaw where you can see some of the beautiful Laos countryside.

Day 7Nong Khiaw

Travel upstream to Muang Ngoi where you disembark for a walk around the countryside and visit one of the local villages. This is a great chance to learn more about some of the various ethnic minority groups that live in Laos.

Day 8Nong Khiaw - Luang Prabang

Travelling by boat you can enjoy some of Laos`s beautiful scenery en route to Luang Prabang.

Day 9Luang Prabang

Day at leisure in Luang Prabang. This is a chance to relax or explore the town further.

Day 10Luang Prabang - Siem Reap

This morning you have a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. After checking in to your hotel your guide will show you around the magnificent Angkor Wat, where you can stay to see the sunset.

Day 11Siem Reap

Rising early your guide will show you around Ta Prohm temple at dawn, seeing this `lost to the jungle` temple at this time lessens the chances of sharing the experience with lots of other tour groups. The rest of the day you can explore the temple complex of Angkor Thom and the stone faced covered temple the Bayon.

Day 12Siem Reap

Today you have a day trip to see the jungle covered Beng Melea and the intricate carvings of Banteay Srei.

Day 13Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

You have a private transfer by road to the capital city Phnom Penh. En route you can see local life in Cambodia and stop at any point to make photographs.

Day 14Phnom Penh

Today you have a full day exploring Phnom Penh`s cultural and historical sights accompanied by your guide and driver. Sights include the national museum and harrowing killing fields.

Day 15Phnom Penh - Koh Kong

You have a private transfer (driver only) to the remote area of the Cardamom Mountains. The last part of your journey will be by speedboat as the area is inaccessible by car.

Day 16Koh Kong

You can enjoy a boat tour of the area and visit the scenic Tatai Waterfalls.

Day 17Koh Kong - Koh Samet

Departing the resort by boat, you meet your car at the bridge and continue by road into Thailand and the pier for the boat to Koh Samet. The car journey will take approximately six hours. On this idyllic island you can relax before returning home.

Day 18Koh Samet

Day at leisure.

Day 19Koh Samet

Day to relax by the beach.

Day 21Koh Samet - Bangkok

You have a boat transfer to the mainland where you continue by road to Bangkok airport for your flight to London.
