Accommodation in Malaysia: Tanjong Jara Resort

Located by a seemingly endless stretch of white sand beach and the warm waters of the South China Sea, this is undoubtedly the finest resort on the east coast of Malaysia.

Families

Families are welcome at the Tanjong Jara although it is a predominantly a couples hotel. The water off the beach is normally very calm during outside of the winter monsoon and there are flags showing the area to swim/or if swimming is not recommended due to weather conditions.

Environment & Social Responsibility

The Tanjong Jara encourage guests to experience local villages on cycle rides and other tours where you can help bring money in to the community simply by buying some fruit or small gift etc.

They also employ numerous local villagers for activities such as kite making and Indera Deria (a Malay yoga-like exercise).

This not only maintains local traditions but gives meaningful employment opportunities. On the eco cruise on the Marang River they will plant a mangrove tree for every visit which helps stabilise this important environment.
