Accommodation in Malaysia: The Datai

Set in ancient tropical rainforest in a secluded corner of the island with its own beach, this is one of Asia's most beautiful spa resorts.

Activities, Sports & Relaxation

The facilities of the hotel are located in two main areas, with most things being at the top of the resort where the adults swimming pool is located. By the beach is another pool for families, and the water sports centre where kayaking, wind surfing and sailing take place.

The hotel's in-house naturalists take guests on daily walks through the rainforest, and jungle trekking and mountain biking can all be organised to explore the island further. The hotel is also equipped with a gymnasium, boutique, library and internet room, and regularly organises activities such as Malay cookery lessons.

The Mandara Spa offers a unique blend of exotic treatments, and is a lovely place to enjoy some pampering in the rainforest.

The Datai Bay golf club is located five minutes drive from the hotel. This championship 18-hole course has been carefully created to blend in with the local environment.
