Day by Day

Day 1London

Overnight flight from the UK to Borneo

Day 2Kuala Lumpur - Malacca

You will be met at the airport by your private guide and taken to your hotel in the UNESCO city of malacca, around 90 minutes away.

Day 3Malacca

Enjoy the day exploring Malacca's antique shops, museums and riverside cafes and restaurants.

Day 4Malacca - Kuala Lumpur

You will be taken to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur today where you have the day free to explore the city!

Day 5Kuala Lumpur

You have a trip up the iconic Twin Towers today.

Day 6Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highlands

Travel out of the city and in to the highlands today. There is some beautiful scenery on route as you look out over endless seas of green tea plantations.

Day 7Cameron Highlands

Explore the Cameron Highlands today on a guided tour of the area with your guide, taking in a plantation tour and stops at the colourful towns and villages selling Malaysia's most exotic fruits.

Day 8Cameron Highlands - Penang

Continue north as you are taken over to the UNESCO city of George Town on the island of Penang. You have the rest of the day free to explore.

Day 9Penang

George Town is famous for it's food and you can find excellent local dishes from hawker stalls on almost every street corner. You amy also like to visit the famous Fort Cornwallis and other sights associated with the spice race between the Dutch, English and Portuguese.

Day 10Penang - Kuching

Fly over to the island of Borneo today and enjoy the day exploring the quaint riverside city of Kuching.

Day 11Kuching

The Sarawak museum is a must visit ahead of your trip in the the tribal interior.

Day 12Kuching - Lemanak River

Travel inland stopping at Semenggok Orang-utan Sanctuary for feeding time, a traditional market in Serian, a pepper farm and a local restaurant on the way. When you reach the hills bordering Indonesia you will leave the road and travel along the narrow Lemanak river by local longboat to reach the isolated longhouse. On arrival at the Iban longhouse you will learn about the local customs, dine and dance with the families before bed.

Day 13Lemanak River - Batang Ai

After breakfast your guide will take you on a nature trail in the area surrounding the longhouse. You will also be given a blowpipe demonstration, which you are welcome to try for yourself. Weather permitting, lunch will be served on the riverbank where you also have the chance for a swim. Following lunch you will be transferred to the Batang Ai Hilton where you can relax and enjoy a hot shower. Your guide will take you on a nature walk in the area which includes a canopy walkway.

Day 14Batang Ai - Damai Peninsula

Today you may choose to take a nature walk around the lodge in the morning before your journey to the beach at the Damai Peninsula.

Day 15Damai Peninsula

Free time on the beach.

Day 16Damai Peninsula - Kuching - Kuala Lumpur

Overnight flight from Borneo to the UK.

Day 17London

Early morning arrival in to the UK.
