Itinerary Route Map - 14 Days

  • Take a cruise from northern Thailand into Laos and take a leisurely route downstream to Luang Prabang.

  • Visit Kanchanaburi to see the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Hell Fire Pass museum.

Day by Day

Day 1London

Fly from London to Bangkok with EVA Airways.

Day 2Bangkok

On arrival in Bangkok you will be met by your guide and driver and accompanied to your hotel.

Day 3Bangkok

Today you will explore Bangkok with your guide using public transport with the locals. You will see all the highlights of the city, but also get a feel for what it is like to live here.

Day 4Bangkok

You have the day at leisure Bangkok before your late afternoon transfer to the train station for your overnight train journey to the northern capital of Chiang Mai. Conditions are basic on the train, but waking up to see the Thai countryside passing your window in the early morning light is an experience not to be missed.

Day 5Chiang Mai

On arrival in Chiang Mai you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is left free for you to settle in to your hotel and take a leisurely wander around the town.

Day 6Chiang Mai

Today your guide will take you to explore the main sights of Chiang Mai including the lost city of Wiang Kum Kam and the trading community of Wat Gatekaram. Through narrow alleyways and winding pathways best accessed with two-wheel transport, you will pass markets, temples and a vast array of unique "street life". Lunch will be taken at a traditional noodle cafe.

Day 7Chiang Mai

Visit the hilltop temple of Doi Suthep with your private guide, before trying some of the local coffee and meeting the villagers from a White Hmong community.

Day 8Chiang Mai - Phuket - Khao Lak

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Andaman coast. From here you will be transferred to your beach resort for some time relaxing on the fine white sands.

Day 9Khao Lak

Spend the day relaxing by the pool or take a stroll along the beach.

Day 10Khao Lak

Enjoy an excursion from your resort or simply stay the pool!

Day 11Khao Lak

At leisure to do exactly as you please.

Day 12Khao Lak

Make use of the spa facilities and relish a spot of pampering.

Day 13Khao Lak

Another day to catch up on your rest and enjoy your surroundings.

Day 14Khao Lak - Phuket - Bangkok

Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Bangkok where you will connect with your flight to London Heathrow. Early evening arrival into the UK.
