Day 1London

Fly from London to Abu Dhabi and then on to Bangkok.

Day 2Abu Dhabi - Bangkok

On arrival in Bangkok you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3Bangkok

Full day to explore Bangkok with your guide. This tour will involve using various methods of public transport - the sky train, tuk tuks, a long tail boat and the underground.

Day 4Bangkok

Full day at leisure to explore Bangkok under your own steam.

Day 5Bangkok - Phuket - Khao Sok National Park

Transfer to the airport in Bangkok for your flight to Phuket, where you will be met and transferred to Elephant Hills in Khao Sok National Park and enjoy a morning with the elephants. Learn about these magnificent creatures and spend time feeding and bathing them. In the afternoon take a guided canoe trip on the Sok River.

Day 6Khao Sok National Park

Transfer to the Cheow Larn Lake surrounded by primary rainforest and marvel at the unique location of the floating camp where you will spend the night.

Day 7Khao Sok National Park - Khao Lak

Take a light trek through the jungle this morning before being transferred to your onward destination after lunch.

Day 8Khao Lak

The next few days are left for you to relax and enjoy the facilities of your hotel and the surrounding area.

Day 9Khao Lak

The nearby Similan Islands are one of the world's top dive sites between November and April. All the resorts are able to arrange trips here; there are also various local dive operators in the town. If diving is not of interest, there are also some great snorkelling trips out to the Surin islands.

Day 10Khao Lak

You could visit the Khao Lak/Laem Ru National Park. Just up the hill from Khao Lak town, heading towards Phuket, you will find lush jungle overlooking the emerald tropical waters of the Andaman Coast.

Day 11Khao Lak

You can take a day trip to Pung Chang cave; taking a bamboo raft into the cave to see the interesting rock formations in the morning and visiting 'James Bond Island' by longtail boat in the afternoon. Unofficially known as James Bond Island, Koh Phing Kan was featured in 'The Man with the Golden Gun' (1974), and is in the breathtaking Phang Nga Bay, dotted with hundreds of unusual limestone rock formations, rising from the turquoise waters.

Day 12Khao Lak

Another interesting day trip is to go into Burma. You visit a hot spring in Ranong province before catching a long tail boat to the Burmese temple of Koh Song. You cross into Burma and get a stamp in your passport where you have some time for shopping at the local markets.
