Day by Day

Day 1London

This evening you depart the UK on a direct overnight flight to Bangkok.

Day 2Bangkok

On arrival in to Bangkok you will be met by your driver and guide and chauffeured to your accommodation for check-in. Evening at your own leisure to relax after your long haul flight.

Day 3Bangkok

Spend the day exploring Thailand`s capital on a unique city safari. Visit Lumpini Park where locals practice Tai Chi in the morning, marvel at the opulence of the Grand Palace and traverse the backwater klongs (canals) to see the very heart of the cit y at work. Using longtail boats to the ultra-slick skytrain to the ubiquitous tuk-tuk you will explore areas of the city that most visitors never get to see.

Day 4Bangkok - Amphawa

Head out of Bangkok by train to Amphawa for an insight into the rural provinces. Visit authentic century-old floating markets set by the lunar calendar, cycle around the villages and fruit plantations and rise early to give alms to the monks. Time your visit to coincide with the lively Amphawa weekend market and spend your evening enjoying delicious, freshly cooked food amongst the locals before retiring to charming waterfront accommodation.

Day 5Amphawa - Kanchanaburi

Travel onto Kanchanaburi for a stay in one of Thailand's most accessible yet undeveloped regions. The bridge over the River Kwai and Hellfire Pass are well worth a visit as lasting testimonies of WWII, but don an adventurous spirit and discover the area's stunning topography. Take a bamboo raft along the River Kwai, climb the seven-tiered waterfall in the Erawan National Park and explore impressive limestone caves

Day 6Kanchanaburi

A full day to continue your exploration of Kanchanaburi.

Day 7Kanchanaburi - Ayuthaya

Next stop Ayuthaya for a glimpse of the one-time capital of old Siam. Take a 'Kermit' tuk tuk or a bicycle and uncover the atmospheric ruins and ancient temples some dating back to the 14th Century. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride to the beautiful Bang Pa In summer palace and sample the candy floss roti, a local delicacy.

Day 8Ayuthaya - Bangkok - Koh Samet

Leave the temples behind and head to the island of Koh Samet within easy reach of Bangkok and a designated national park. Spend time relaxing on the beach, eat freshly- caught seafood and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Day 9Koh Samet

Enjoy a few days of relaxation on the beach.

Day 10Koh Samet

Today you could take a fishing boat out around the island.

Day 11Koh Samet

Day 12Koh Samet - Bangkok

You will be collected this morning and escorted by speedboat and vehicle back to Bangkok airport in good time for your return flight to the UK
