Sunset at the Anantara Si Kao
Trang is one of Thailand’s most beautiful and unexplored regions, located to the south east of Krabi.
Accessed by a short flight from Bangkok, it is a Chinese-speaking province with a beautiful, natural coastline ideal for those seeking a less developed beach experience.
There are excellent diving opportunities, especially around the offshore islands, where colourful coral is home to abundant shoals of tropical fish and even the occasional dugong.
Unless exploring Thailand's jungles, I would recommend wearing sandals or flip-flops for quick removal when entering temples, houses and some internet cafes.
