Accommodation in The Philippines: Amanpulo

Amanpulo is the perfect sanctuary for those wishing for a peaceful and secluded stay in luxury on a beautiful remote tropical island paradise.

Rooms

The 38 casitas are all 65 square metres and set in treetop, hillside, and beach front locations. Currently there are two villas with another seven planned or under construction. The casitas are all accessed via private paths and stairs hidden away amongst the foliage. The decoration reflects the tropical location including furniture made out of coconut-shells, rattan, shells and marble sourced from the island of Cebu. The bathrooms are vast and include a bathtub, twin vanities, separate shower and changing area. Large glass sliding doors which fill the rooms with light and enable great views, give guests access to a private outdoor sundeck with sun loungers.

All rooms are very well appointed to the highest specification including air conditioning, satellite television, DVD/CD players, i-Pod docks linked to an integrated sound system, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, in room internet connection, a plug converter, hair dryer, in-room safe and iron/ironing board. Hats, slippers and beach bags are available in the casitas for guests' use on the island and as souvenirs.

The four treetop casitas are set inland away from the beach and are set above the tree-line but do not necessarily offer unobstructed views. Please note that these are accessed via a relatively long set of stairs, so will not suit everyone.

The five hillside casitas are again set inland away from the beach and are accessed via a lengthy set of steps in order to gain their position above the tree line. The main difference is that all hillside casitas have unimpeded sea views. The resort's two deluxe hillside casitas feature spectacular prospects of the Sulu Sea and neighbouring islands and can capture a great glimpse of both the sunrise and sunset.

The 29 beach casitas each have private access to a stunning stretch of beach through the undergrowth that surrounds them. This foliage also provides small private groves in which guest can swing in their own hammock and offers privacy when relaxing on the sun loungers outside the casita on the sun deck.
