    With over 7,000 islands there are mile of coastline in the Philippines. Away from the popular beaches of Boracay and Cebu there are a range of quieter spots especially in the Southern Visayas and around Palawan.

    There are more than 100 cultural minority groups in the Philippines, and around half of these have unique linguistic cultures. The most well known are the Ifugao, and their culture is alive and well around the rice terraces of Banaue.

    Most of the Philippine islands feature volcanic mountains, several of which have been increasingly active since the 1980s. The most accessible are Mount Pinatubo which last erupted in 1991 and Taal volcano one crater of which erupted in 1977.

Probably the most well known resort on Boracay is Fridays. The 34 rooms are built in a traditional cottage style, and have either terraces or balconies overlooking the beach.

Food & Drink

Fridays restaurant is considered by many to be one the finest on the island. It offers a regional Asian, European, Fusion and Filipino cuisine with daily specials, set menus or ala carte specialties.

The Executive Chef's food specials range from a simple chicken curry or noodle dish to Foie Gras, Duck or even Ostrich, and the local seafood is also caught in abundance. All breads, cakes and pastries are baked in-house by an internationally-trained pastry chef and are delicious for breakfast, afternoon tea or desert!

The Fridays bar also offers the original Happy Hour deals (buy one get one free) from 3pm to 6pm and the extensive cocktail menu has a great selection to accompany the magnificent sunsets.

Every Friday is their signature barbecue and grill buffets to enjoy with acoustic guitarists, local singers and a cultural dance show, a really fun event for the whole family to enjoy and draws in customers from all over the island.
