The standard train provides very basic soft sleeper berths for your overnight journey to and from Lao Cai. Each cabin contains four berths, a small table, curtains and bedding for your overnight trip.

Each cabin contains four berths, a small table, curtains and bedding for your overnight trip.

This local train does have basic air conditioning and heating for the varying weather conditions as the train winds from the city of Hanoi up to the Tonkinese Alps and back.

There are simple washroom facilities and Vietnamese or Western style toilets on board.
