Fly from London to Singapore with Singapore Airlines, you arrive the following morning.
Day 2Singapore - Hanoi
From Singapore you take a connecting flight to the Vietnamese capital city Hanoi.
On arrival you shall be met and taken to your hotel from which you can explore the city with ease.
Discover Hanoi with your guide, taking a cyclo tour around the maze that is the old quarter area and strolling through the charming French colonial district.
Leave the city and drive out to the pretty town of Mai Chau, located at the foothills of the Tonkinese Alps.
On arrival you shall be taken on a bike tour of your surroundings, some of the most striking scenery in this part of Vietnam.
Embark on a days trekking with your guide, visiting the intriguing minority villages which inhabit the region.
You drive back to Hanoi this afternoon and have time to continue exploring the city. You also have use of a day room at a local hotel before boarding the overnight train to the far north of Vietnam.
You arrive into the town of Lao Cai, located just two kilometres from the border with China.
You will be met and transferred to one of the largest minority markets in the area before continuing on to the pretty mountain town of Sapa.
Today you embark an extensive trek through the minority villages within the area, en route you are treated to arguably the most stunning scenery in Indochina.
You will spend the night with a local family, interacting with them and learning more about life in rural Vietnam.
Continue your trek today, visiting various villages of the Red Dao and Hmong tribes before returning back to Sapa town.
You have the use of a local hotel to freshen up before driving back to Lao Cai for your overnight train to Hanoi.
You arrive early into Hanoi and will be taken to a hotel where you have the chance to have breakfast and freshen up. Later today you transfer to the airport for your flight to Dalat, an old hill station in the central highlands.
You have the remainder of the day to explore Dalat with your guide.
Venture out into the countryside for some rock climbing along one of the scenic waterfalls, the remainder of the day is spent trekking.
Leave the highlands today and drive to the beach resort of Phan Thiet, en route you visit a number of ancient cham towers.
Explore the popular sand dunes today and try your hand at the local sport of dune boarding.
Relax and enjoy your hotel or take a visit to the local fishing villages and sample some fresh seafood.
Leave the beach this afternoon and drive back to Saigon in time for your evening flight to Singapore and then back to the UK.
