Day by Day

Day 1London

Fly from London to Hong Kong.

Day 2Hong Kong - Hanoi

Connect in Hong Kong straight on to your flight to Vietnam. Arrive in Hanoi and have a private transfer to your hotel. After relaxing and having lunch enjoy a private cyclo tour of Hanoi's famous Old Quarter.

Day 3Hanoi

A private half day city tour including the infamous Hanoi Hilton where Senator John McCain was held. The rest of the day is free to explore at your leisure.

Day 4Hanoi - Halong City

A morning transfer to Halong City, where you will board your traditional Vietnamese junk. Spend the afternoon cruising around Halong Bay's thousands of limestone islets and caves. You dine on board and then settle in for the evening sipping a glass of wine and watching the thousands of stars above you as you float in the bay.

Day 5Halong City - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An

Wake up to see sunrise over the bay. After a leisurely brunch the junk returns to the jetty where you will be met by your guide. You will then be driven to Hanoi airport for your flight to central Danang. En route to the airport you have the chance to witness an authentic performance of water puppetry in a traditional village where they have been making puppets for centuries. On arrival in Danang you head straight to your first beach resort.

Day 6Hoi An

This morning you have a short walking tour of this charming UNESCO World Heritage town to help you familiarize yourself with Hoi An for your stay here.

Day 7Hoi An

Spend the day relaxing on the beach or at the pool. You could pop into town to get measured up for some new clothes at one of the 500 tailors here.

Day 8Hoi An

More time free to relax on the beach or perhaps enjoy a leisurely cycle ride into the beautiful rural areas outside Hoi An.

Day 9Hoi An - Qui Nhon

A day driving through wonderful countryside to Qui Nhon. En route visit the poignant memorial to the My Lai tragedy.

Day 10Qui Nhon

A day free to relax and soak up some more sun on the beach.

Day 11Qui Nhon

Take a stroll along the beach or pamper yourself at the hotel's excellent spa.

Day 12Qui Nhon - Nha Trang

Today you are taken on another scenic drive through southern Vietnam, to Nha Trang. Stop en route to see the ancient Cham ruins or the old fishing village at Nha Trang.

Day 13Nha Trang

Check out the sea life with a great snorkelling or diving trip, organised by your hotel.

Day 14Nha Trang

Another day to worship the sun or visit the French Gothic cathedral and the striking Long Son pagoda.

Day 15Nha Trang - Saigon - Phu Quoc Island

This morning you catch a flight to the far south, transiting through Saigon airport and alighting on the tropical island of Phu Quoc. Spend the next four nights enjoying this remote and stunning part of the world.

Day 16Phu Quoc Island

Enjoy this wonderful long stretch of golden sandy beach and swim in the warm waters.

Day 17Phu Quoc Island

Try a spot of mountain biking in the national forest reserve - almost 90% of the island is forested.

Day 18Phu Quoc Island

Take a boat out to explore the outlying uninhabited tropical islands and enjoy some snorkelling and a beach picnic.

Day 19Phu Quoc Island - Saigon

Flying into Saigon today you have one night here to soak up some of the atmosphere, do any last minute shopping and enjoy any of the fine restaurants.

Day 20Saigon - Hong Kong

A morning flight home via Hong Kong.
