  • Fly from Bangkok to Northern Thailand and take a two day river cruise down the Mekong to Luang Prabang.

Day by Day

Day 1London

Fly from the UK to Hanoi today.

Day 2Hanoi - Luang Prabang

In Hanoi change planes and fly onto Luang Prabang. On arrival transfer to your hotel and enjoy an afternoon exploring or perhaps just enjoy relaxing at your hotel.

Day 3Luang Prabang

Explore the town with your guide and driver. You may wish to get up at dawn to see the monks collecting their alms.

Day 4Luang Prabang - Hanoi

The morning is at leisure for you to explore or relax in your hotel. In the afternoon you will fly to Hanoi, capital of Vietnam. On arrival you will be met and escorted to your hotel in the heart of the old quarter.

Day 5Hanoi

Explore Hanoi and its cultural heritage with your guide and driver, including the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and the excellent Fine Arts Museum.

Day 6Hanoi - Halong City

Depart Hanoi this morning for Halong Bay where you will meet your traditional South China `junk` and spend the afternoon cruising on the bay amongst the wonderful limestone karsts.

Day 7Halong City - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An

Rise early to view the sunrise over Halong Bay`s stunning limestone islets before returning to Hanoi this afternoon in time for your flight to the World Heritage Site of Hoi An. This evening enjoy a stroll around the town and enjoy any one of Hoi An's many restaurants and perhaps get measured up for a new outfit by a recommended tailor.

Day 8Hoi An

Today enjoy exploring the pre-Angkorian (Cham) temples of My Son as well as a wander around the old quarter of Hoi An.

Day 9Hoi An - Danang - Saigon

In the morning fly to Saigon. You will be met by your guide and driver for a visit to the fascinating Cu Chi tunnels en route to your city hotel, for an insight into the Vietnam War and how it was fought by the Vietnamese.

Day 10Saigon - Phnom Penh

You have a half day tour of Saigon with some free time to relax or explore in the afternoon before your flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's riverside capital.

Day 11Phnom Penh

Today sees you explore Phnom Penh with your guide and driver including the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, as well as the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng, the former prison of the Khmer Rouge.

Day 12Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

Your guide and driver will escort you north to Siem Reap, through the countryside and skirting the Tonle Sap until you reach the gateway town to Angkor.

Day 13Siem Reap

An early start will be rewarded by a visit to the spectacular Ta Prohm Temple. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the infamous Angkor Wat, Bayon temple and Angkor Thom.

Day 14Siem Reap - Hanoi

Today is a free day for you to further explore the temples at leisure, relax by the hotel pool or wander around the town and indulge in a bit of shopping! Transfer to the airport early this evening for your flight to Hanoi and onto the UK.
