You are here:
Saigon Mui Ne, Phan Thiet
Just four hours from Saigon the sweeping stretch of sand at Mui Ne is a place where fishermen still use traditional coracles to bring their catch ashore.
The micro-climate here means this is one of the driest places in Vietnam, as illustrated by its famous sand dunes, baking hot in the midday sun.
Mui Ne receives sun for almost the entire year making it ideal as a beach break from the humidity of Saigon or the Delta.
A range of charming small properties and luxury boutique hotels line the white-sand peninsula offering accommodation to suit a variety of budgets.
If possible, try to coincide your visit to Hoi An town with the Full Moon Festival which occurs on the fourteenth day of the monthly lunar calendar. The streets and river are lit with beautiful paper lanterns.
