During the Easter holidays Sapa in the mountains has perfect weather. Visiting the hill tribes here can be a fascinating experience for children, and this combined with the train travel to get there makes it a great option. The Easter holidays would also be a good time to visit Halong Bay, and although the boats may not be suitable for very young children there is lots to see and do to keep slightly older children entertained.
