Nepal must be one of the most spectacular places in the world to undertake a trek.

Nepal has long attracted keen trekkers and walkers from all over the globe and not without reason. This itinerary includes medium level treks in two of the most popular trekking areas of Nepal; the Annapurnas and Everest. In both areas we can use a variety of accommodation, from local tea houses to simple but much more comfortable lodges.
The sleepy lakeside town of Pokhara is encircled by the spectacular mountain scenery of the Annapurna Range (including Machhapuchare - Fishtail Mountain) and enjoys a lazy and relaxed atmosphere. It is the main starting point for day walks or longer forays amongst the mountains.
Namche Bazaar is one of the main stops on the trail up to Everest Base Camp, and is a great place to spend a day or two. If you climb up to the viewpoint above the village, you will get your first view of Everest. You really feel as if you are deep in the mountains here.
A small village in the foothills of the Annapurnas, Tanchock is home to one of the comfortable lodges in which you will stay on your trek. Take a walk through the village, set amongst the terraces, and you may well end up chatting to some of the villagers.
Ghandruk is a mountain village set in the Modi Khola Valley at around 2,000 metres. The village is a major recruitment centre for the famous Gurkha soldiers and is the hub of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, which promotes many varied ecological projects.
Birethanti is a small village set at the foot of the Modi Khola Valley at around 1,100 metres. The village was one of the main stops on the Annapurna Circuit treks. It still has many small tea shops and souvenir sellers, even though it is not the thriving trekkers' centre it once was.
