Wildlife holidays: Koalas are a common sight in much of Australia
Australasia encompasses a huge region in the pacific but it is Australia and New Zealand which are best known for their animals which in turn means they are also suited to willdife holidays.
Much of the wildlife of Australia is unique: kangaroos and koalas instantly spring to mind, but delve a little deeper and you will find a whole host of unusual and interesting wildlife just waiting to be discovered.
New Zealand's wildlife on the other hand has evolved with virtually no predatory land mammals and as a result is home to many species of flightless birds, many of them unique such as the kiwi.
