With almost 2,500,000 residents, this multi-cultural city is the largest in Canada. The shopping and nightlife here are unsurpassed and the eclectic range of dining experiences create a truly up-lifting experience. If you are here over Christmas you can witness the annual Cavalcade of Lights.
Each December the Cavalcade of Lights sees thousands of festival-goers witness the lighting of Toronto's official Christmas tree. Originally created in 1967, the event was extended in 2002 from a one night format to a month-long holiday celebration with the addition of Saturday night skating parties to live music. It's an atmospheric time of year to visit and enjoy some of the many delights Toronto has to offer.
With almost 2.5 million residents, this multi-cultural city is the largest in Canada. There are some excellent museums, including the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
