Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain on the continent of Africa which makes it a magnet to climbers from all over the world. However, not being a particularly technical ascent and with the addition of a guide, therefore makes it accessible to those who have no climbing experience.
February is one of the best months to climb Mt Kilimanjaro; it's one of the warmest months, with clear mornings and evenings, and clouds building during the day that occlude the summit in the early afternoon hours. The predictable patterns of weather therefore make reaching the summit much more likely at this time of year.
Standing at 5,895 metres tall, Kilimanjaro towers over the plains of Kenya and Tanzania. With knowledgeable guides it is possible to climb it over the course of several days.
