Montréalers are renowned for their joie de vivre: this is Canada’s party capital, which plays host to several world-renowned summer festivals. One of the most popular is the Festival International de Jazz, held from late June until early July. It is an 11-day extravaganza of 350 concerts held at openair venues. Accordingly, anyone can attend and it often attracts hundreds of thousands of people.
In addition, Montréal offers a vast array of fabulous restaurants, bistros and pavement cafés offering every type of cuisine, with delicious smoked meats the local speciality.
