The Marlborough Sounds are amongst the most picturesque scenery anywhere in New Zealand. Hunter's Garden Marlborough is a five day event run every November which includes guided garden tours, presentations by experts and art displays.

Hunter's Garden Event, Marlborough region, New Zealand

This is the region's premier botanical event and offers the visitor seminars, workshops, social activities and garden tours, which include some of Marlborough's most beautiful and unusual gardens. The event is a celebration of gardening and aims to promote the beautiful gardens of Marlborough to New Zealand and the rest of the world. The last day is celebrated with a market day, where one can enjoy music, food and wine and purchase gardening products.

Marlborough Sounds

The winding, weaving Marlborough Sounds were formed by the glaciers of an ancient ice age, deep valleys were flooded by the sea, leaving a mass of bays, inlets and hidden coves.
