Botswana's Okavango Delta is one of the most game-rich areas in Africa. If you visit at the right time you will not only see more wildlife, you will also have the opportunity to view it via a trip in a moroko (a locally made dug-out canoe).
October marks the end of Botswana's dry season and a time in which game crowd around the few remaining waterholes. The animals congregate in large groups, and there will often be various species close together. This provides excellent game viewing opportunities. Temperatures in October are between 15 and 35°C (59 and 95°F).
Book a safari holiday to Botswana and experience many exceptional national parks and reserves, but it's the Okavango Delta’s rich array of wetlands and vast, varied ecosystems that make it unique.
