Solar Eclipse 2009.

On the 22nd July 2009, a total solar eclipse will begin just off the west coast of India at 6:21am local time (sunrise is at 5:05am), and will then take just a few minutes to traverse the entire country.

The path of the eclipse, which will be up to 200km wide, will travel north east, passing over some of the best known places in the country, such as Maheshwar and Varanasi. It will then move over the southern tip of Nepal, a great swath of Bhutan, before continuing east where you can continue to follow the eclipse across China.
