Australia Day, on the 26th January, is a great big party in Sydney. Head to the Botanical Gardens, picnic like a local and watch the harbour come to life. Quote end

There are lots of good restaurants in Hobart but the freshest catch comes from the floating fish stalls in the harbour - great with a beer in the late afternoon sun. Quote end

Biography

Jenny hot air ballooning in Melbourne, Australia

With a passion for all things outdoors, it was no surprise that Jenny decided to head to Australia for her gap year after graduating university. During this trip, Jenny enjoyed working and travelling all over Australia and New Zealand, discovering new places, wildlife and stunning scenery. Back in the UK she worked in property sales and construction but nothing quelled her travel bug and she made several trips throughout Europe and Central America. Since starting at Audley she has made further trips to Australia, the country that inspired her wanderlust, to see the special, character accommodation that makes Audley trips so distinctive. On her most recent trip Jenny enjoyed the seeking out Australia's unique wildlife on the walking trails of the pristine national parks of Tasmania and Victoria.

My Most Memorable Experience

"I had an amazing four days on the Maria Island Walk off the east coast of Tasmania.

Walking across beautiful beaches, through bushland and even up a mountain with the kangaroos, wallabies and wombats all watching on was spectacular.

As if the scenery and wildlife wasn't enough the gourmet menus served up throughout the days are sensational!"

My Favourite Destination

The Whitsunday Islands, Australia

"Beautiful white sand beaches, tropical rainforest and idyllic sheltered sea make the Whitsunday Islands famous.

Whether you want to relax on the beaches or spend a few days sailing the hidden coves and inlets, you will not be dissappointed by the beauty of the islands especially Whitehaven Beach."

My Favourite Accommodation

Byron at Byron, Australia

My favourite hotel in all of Australia, the Byron at Byron, combines contemporary design with a beautiful rainforest setting.

Encapsulating everything that Byron Bay is about, the service here is relaxed but profesional and invites you to relax and unwind as you enjoy the excellent dining and leisure facilities. A great place to totally spoil yourself.
