Biography

Hannah's passion for travelling started at a young age where she spent many adventures jet-setting around the world with her family. It wasn't until after studying Geography at university that she embarked on a round-the-world trip taking in Southeast Asia and Australasia which included working for the leading bungy-jumping company in New Zealand. After this 11 month stint she came back to the UK and studied again, completing a Masters in Globalization and Development with a particular research focus on tourism in Thailand. A second trip took her back to Indochina and after returning and still undecided on what career path to take she spent a year working as a fundraiser before her ideal job opportunity presented itself at Audley. Since joining Audley, Hannah has had the opportunity to fulfil her passion for travel to both the Far East and South Africa, where she was captivated by the stunning landscapes and incredible wildlife experiences. She is also completing a Responsible Tourism Management course in her spare time as well as enjoying dance and running.
My Most Memorable Experience
Visiting the ethnic minority villages in Sapa was amazing. Whilst there I had the chance to witness part of a wedding ceremony amongst the Red Dzao minorities. It wasn't planned, it was just about being at the right place at the right time and it provided a truly fascinating experience!
My Favourite Destination
Siem Reap has so much to offer everyone. The fantastic temples, the friendly people, the amazing food and the wide array of handmade items, beautiful scarves and silver jewellery which can be bought at Siem Reap night market. My suitcase came back a lot heavier!
My Favourite Accommodation
The Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi offers stunning colonial luxury which I particularly enjoyed. It is walking distance from the Hoan Kiem Lake which is beautiful at night when the lights in the trees are all lit and the locals are taking dance classes.
