Biography
After graduating from Reading University with a degree in the History of Art and Architecture Laura worked for several years in the publishing industry.
In 2004 Laura fulfilled a long term desire to travel and spent a wonderful 15 months in India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. On her return to the UK Laura set up her own business, a deli/cafe in the historic city of Bath. Having enjoyed over four years of successful trading Laura sold the business and decided to indulge in her other big passion - travel.
Laura has continued to indulge in this passion with recent work trips to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, learning more about this incredbile region with each visit. Full of enthusiasm for Indochina with her favourite place being the charming town of Luang Prabang, Laura thrives on helping clients plan their dream trip with Audley.
My Most Memorable Experience
I recently had the opportunity to visit Ninh Binh in North Vietnam which is likened to an inland Halong Bay. I had an amazing time cycling though stunning scenery, boat trips through deserted caves and eating lunch with locals in the village. During my time here I hardly saw any tourists all day and it felt like I'd discovered an untouched authentic part of Vietnam, something which is rare in this day and age.
My Favourite Destination

Despite having visited the UNESCO town of Luang Prabang several times I never fail to be captivated by the magical atmosphere and stunning setting. The crumbling colonial architecture, mountains shrouded in mist, temples and monks in saffron robes have left a lasting impression which will never fade.
My Favourite Accommodation

I am a big fan of beautiful scenery and relaxation, the Four Rivers Floating Lodge in the Cardamom Mountains; Koh Kong is the perfect place to escape from it all. Effectively stranded on an island it is the sort of place you want to be stranded! The tents are unique, spacious and very comfortable and the private deck a great place to read a book or jump in the river! The staff, like many people in Cambodia, is warm and welcoming, ensuring that you leave the resort with a longing to return.
