This family-run hotel is situated a short distance out of Yangshuo on the river road, surrounded by karst peaks on all sides. Rooms here are spacious and sunny, with decor that features natural materials like wood and stone and generously sized windows that offer views of either the mountains or the river. The hotel restaurant serves both Chinese and Western dishes for all three meals.
The hotel’s setting is ideal for guests to explore the scenic countryside or relax and enjoy the swimming pool. It is a ten-minute drive or a 30-minute walk along a riverside path to get back into town. This gives you the best of both worlds — close enough to town to enjoy its facilities, without being subject to the noise from the bars in the evenings.
OUR OPINION:
This is a lovely hotel, full of character, with lots of quintessentially Chinese carved wooden furniture. It also boasts great views of the river below and up into the countryside, taking in the old houses and rice fields.

Rooms
The property’s range of guest rooms all offer views of either the mountains or the river. Suites also have seating areas to allow guests to take in the views. Beautifully designed rooms are decorated in classic dark wood furnishing and fine bedding and boast large windows. All rooms are fully air conditioned with free Wi-Fi access, and have en suite bathrooms with shower and complimentary toiletries.
Location
The Yangshuo Li River Resort is approximately an hour and a half hours’ drive from Guilin City and Guilin Liangjiang International Airport, and a ten-minute drive or a 30-minute walk along a riverside path to the heart of Yangshuo.
Food and drink
The hotel’s restaurant is an all-day dining venue that serves excellent Chinese and Western cuisines. A good selection of juices, teas, coffees, imported wines and beers from China and around the world is also available here.
Families
There are two family rooms available: The Standard Family Room features a double bed and two bunk beds and a Deluxe Riverview Family Room with a double bed and two single beds.
Facilities and activities
In addition to an outdoor swimming pool which is open during the warm months (April to mid-December), the hotel also offers a selection of group and private tours to encourage clients to explore the countryside and villages around Yangshuo, including walking and cycling excursions, visits to local villages and farms, and cookery lessons.
