Fly overnight to Delhi from whichever airport suits you best. Direct flights into Delhi are from London Heathrow.
Arrive in Delhi, and be taken to your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing after the flight, relax and adjust to the time zone or head off to explore the city independently.
Today you will experience the fantastic contrasts between Old and New Delhi - a thoroughly enjoyable way to start your journey through India. Your local guide will show you around.
A bit of an early start this morning when you will be taken to the train station to board the fast train to Agra. Before checking in to the hotel, your guide will take you to the impressive Red Fort and the world famous Taj Mahal. Despite seeing innumerable pictures of this great monument to love, the sight of it in reality is breathtaking and it will leave you with some long lasting and pleasant memories. Other sites that you will visit include the other Mughal tomb, the I'timad-ud-Daulah, often called the "Baby Taj".
In the evening you will drive to the other site of the Yamuna River to see the Taj Mahal from a slight distance during sun-set.
Your driver will meet you at your hotel and drive you to the train station in Bharatpur to catch the air-conditioned train to Sawai, which is not far from the Ranthambhore National Park where we hope you see the Royal Bengal Tiger. On the way to Bharatpur, you will stop at the ancient deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, well preserved and with a really mystical feel. Here you will be taken on a private guided tour.
Today you will have morning and afternoon game drives in Ranthambhore. Although almost all our clients do get a jeep suitable for six people, these game drives are regulated by the government and they use specially adapted comfortable vehicles that can hold up to 20 people as well!
You will have one more game drive in the morning and a last chance to spot a Royal Bengal Tiger. After the excursion you will proceed to Jaipur. In Jaipur you will have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Pink City today. You'll visit the beautiful Amber Fort (11km outside the city), the 18th Century City Palace and the UNESCO protected Jantar Mantar Observatory, which is home to the world's largest sun dial. See the Hawa Mahal too, and enjoy the nearby markets.
This morning is at your leisure, you will then return to Delhi by road. This evening you'll stay at a hotel conveniently located for quick access to the airport tomorrow.
Transfer to the airport and fly back to the UK, arriving on the same day.
