Dhulikhel is a village some 30 km (18 miles) from Kathmandu, on the Arniko Highway to Tibet, lying at an altitude of some 1,470 m (4,822 ft).
Superb views of the Himalayan range and Kathmandu valley are visible from here if you are prepared to climb a little above the village.
There are also easy walks around the village.
