Today you fly to Pagan where you have two days to explore the temples covering this vast area. There is a museum to visit as well as the market and your guide will make sure you find a quiet spot for sunset.
The temples can be explored on foot, by bicycle and using a horse and cart, as well as making use of your private car and driver
Take a local day boat to the city of Mandalay. This is a great way to see daily life on the banks of the Irrawaddy and to interact with the locals onboard. You will arrive in Mandalay early evening, in time to see the sunset from the top of Mandalay Hill.
Mandalay has a surprising amount to offer for those who know where to find it. This tour has been designed to reveal Mandalay from a diverse and interesting perspective. The itinerary today is quite flexible and your guide will design it so that you can see some of the more interesting areas whilst avoiding some of the more visited tourist traps.
Drive up to the colonial hill station of Maymyo and spend the afternoon exploring this sleepy town and its botanical gardens.
Today you will be driven to the railway station at Naung Cho to board the Mandalay-Lashio train. Your short train journey will traverse the Goteik Viaduct and end at a town on the other side where you continue your journey by road to Hsipaw.
Enjoy a boat trip to the confluence of the Namtu and Dotawaddy River and explore local villages around the town itself.
