In a city full of business hotels, The Taj View is one of the best options for exploring the main attraction in Agra, the Taj Mahal, which is just 3 km (2 miles) away.
Set in landscaped gardens, the hotel is well-appointed, if a little characterless, but offers 24-hour dining and a renowned Indian restaurant, Jhankar, which is very much worth a try.
With many of the rooms offering views of the Taj Mahal, the Taj View is the ideal base for a short stay in Agra.
OUR OPINION:
The Taj View works particularly well for a one night stay in Agra given its proximity to the Taj Mahal. We'd recommend staying in the Executive room for wonderful views of the Taj Mahal.

Rooms
There are four different room types to choose from, all of which are well-appointed with LCD TVs and Wi-Fi. Standard rooms are the smallest, with views of the pool. The Superior rooms, which are the next category up, offer views of the Taj Mahal. Executive rooms feature an elevated living area and are on the higher floors, affording excellent views of the Taj Mahal, while Executive Suites are the most spacious option.
Location
The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Agra, just 3 km (2 miles) away from the Taj Mahal and within walking distance of a number of local restaurants.
Food and drink
The hotel offers a wide selection of dining options, ranging from a 24-hour coffee shop serving local and international food, to a traditional Indian restaurant serving delicious fare in a charming atmosphere. The Saqui Bar serves up very good cocktails as well as a fine selection of wines, with regular entertainment in the form of live piano performances.
Families
Family facilities include a babysitting service, children’s library and play area. A magician also performs in the evening.
Honeymooners
For honeymooning couples, the hotel offers private dining in the grounds of the hotel, providing a more intimate, romantic atmosphere.
