Around Ishigaki

Through your hotel you can book tours to other islands in the Yaeyama chain, including Iriomote, home to the famously endangered Iriomote lynx, and Taketomi with its star-sand beaches.

Foreign visitors to the Yaeyamai are few and far between, making travel here a little more challenging for non-Japanese speakers but allowing you to experience a truly authentic Japanese holiday lifestyle.
