Anabezi Camp boasts an excellent location, deeper into the eastern section of the Lower Zambezi National Park than any other camp.
Nestled in riverine forest in an exclusive area of the park, Bilimungwe is small and personal and specialises in walking safaris, but can also accommodate limited game viewing by vehicle.
Busanga Bush Camp
Busanga Bush Camp overlooks stunning plains, is surrounded by wilderness, and its perfect for a really wild African safari.
This is ideal for those who don't mind staying in simply designed rooms in order to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and activities.
Chamilandu offers comfort, class and beauty in one of the Luangwa Valley's prime remote river locations. The the area is known for good leopard.
Chiawa Camp is in a superb situation in the heart of the park, overlooking the river. Activities include walks, day and night drives, canoe trips and boat trips.
As there are no roads, Chikoko is a true walking camp on the bank of the Chikoko River. It is ideal for the real wildlife enthusiast who wants to explore with some of Africa's most experienced guides.
Chindeni is only six kilometre walk from Bilimungwe, so early morning walks between the camps provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy both of these camps. It is also possible to enjoy day and night drives.
Back in the 1970’s Chinzombo Camp was Norman Carr's base during the Green Season (November to May). Now this area on the banks of Luangwa River has been given a new lease of life and Chinzombo is offering a new and unique accommodation in the same pioneering spirit of Norman Carr.
Chongwe River Camp
Chongwe River Camp is set under a canopy of winterthorn acacias on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers. Activities include game drives, walking safaris, boat cruises and fishing.
Chongwe River House
The Chongwe River House is unusual in appearance but high on luxury and character, with an absolutely fantastic location. It provides a unique base from which to explore the Lower Zambezi.
Crocodile Camp is a superb camp in a very wild area. As there are no roads it offers a true walking safari - its a wonderful area to explore on foot as it is very pretty with lagoons, dry river beds and forests.
Once a camp known for its overland trucks and backpackers it has now changed direction slightly, offering accommodation for those looking for a more comfortable stay in the Valley.
Kaingo Camp is situated on the banks of the Luangwa River, at the confluence with the Mwamba. It's also a haven for keen photographers and has previously been used by National Geographic and the BBC.
Kaingo is a peaceful lodge in a prime position in the Luangwa valley. The addition of private outdoor baths and decking complete with comfy chairs in front of each chalet overlooking the river is a lovely touch.
Kaingu Safari Lodge
Kaingu Lodge lies in the southern part of the Kafue National Park on the banks of the Kafue River. The river here is wide and picturesque, split into small islands with large granite boulders and sandy shores where activities often stop for a morning coffee or afternoon sundowner.
Kakuli is never a quiet camp as over 400 hippo live in the stretch of the Luangwa River in front of camp. The guides and camp staff are superb and it's a wonderfully laid back and friendly camp.
A stay at Kapamba gives you a chance to experience real Africa as you enjoy your dinner under the stars listening to the sounds of the bush after a satisfying day's game viewing.
Kapani Lodge is the perfect place to start your safari. It is very comfortable and in a lovely tropical setting. There is always something to see - hippo lie in the lagoon in front of camp all day long.
Kasaka River Lodge
This is a comfortable, peaceful lodge with great views over the Zambezi River. It is outside the park in a Game Management Area but close enough to the park entrance to make access straightforward.
Kuyenda is a wonderful bushcamp situated in a very remote area of the park on the banks of the Manzi River. It is a wonderful walking area and activities are tailored to the client needs.
Lion Camp is located in one of the best game viewing areas of the South Luangwa, deep within the park and away from other camps so guests enjoy a very private and wild safari experience. As the name suggests this area is particularly good for lion.
This is one of the 'Houses of Zambia' which have been built to offer guests a superb luxurious and private safari experience. This is the ultimate in tailor-made with your own chef and safari guide to look after you.
Luangwa River Camp
Located on the banks of the Luangwa River under an ancient ebony tree lies the Luangwa River Camp. The small size of the lodge means there is a lot of flexibility as regards game viewing activities.
Luwi is a very simple camp. The camp staff, guides and rangers are all very good and there's always a friendly relaxed atmosphere around camp. Its in a very wild location with a hippo pool nearby.
Mayukuyuku has a wonderful homely atmosphere and is immensely comfortable. It's an ideal spot for exploring this area of the Kafue, and its small size means standards are kept high.
Mchenja is a real treat, boasting the most beautiful position high up on the banks of the Luangwa and the perfect combination of luxury with a real 'bush' feel.
Mfuwe Lodge is a great place to stay as it has every comfort and yet it is still in Luangwa park. We particularly love the hippo pool in front of the lodge. You can sit on your balcony and there's always something to see from the hippos and birds to animals coming to drink from the waters.
Mukambi Safari Lodge
Mukambi Safari Lodge occupies a lovely location in the central Kafue, in a rewarding game viewing area.
Musekese Bush Camp
A great camp in a location where you won't see another soul. Musekese is well managed and the guiding is excellent. We highly recommend it.
Mwaleshi is one of our favourite camps in Zambia. It is very small, incredibly peaceful and sitting in camp you know there is nothing but wilderness for hundreds of miles.
Mwamba Bushcamp is a tiny camp beside the seasonal Mwamba River providing an opportunity for those of a more adventurous spirit to explore the Luangwa's heartland.
Nkwali Camp, located on Robin Pope's private land along the river bank and overlooking the South Luangwa National Park, has six open fronted chalets allowing you to fully appreciate the view.
Nsefu Camp is beautiful and stylish. The views from the lawn of the river are lovely and when staying there we often saw elephant come to drink near camp in the early morning. Activities from Nsefu focus on the Nsefu Sector of the park - a particularly rich game area.
Nsolo is an excellent camp which has recently been completely rebuilt after a fire destroyed the old site. Guided walks from the camp, often following the course of the Luwi, are a real treat, and it is a great area for lion, buffalo and zebra.
Old Mondoro Bush Camp
Old Mondoro is a very peaceful camp and ideal for those seeking somewhere really in the wilds. It is surrounded by good walking country making this the ideal camp from which to enjoy walks as well as game drives and river activities.
A good choice in Zambia's capital for a peaceful and relaxed stop in the city, well away from the bustling centre. The accommodation is simple but comfortable, with everything you need.
Potato Bush Camp
Potato Bush is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River with stunning views over the river and escarpment. The camp has four tents: three standard luxury tents and one family tent, all shaded by by huge Acacia Tortilis and Mahogany trees.
Robin's House has been beautifully decorated but manages to be totally unpretentious and just feels like a warm family home. The staff are excellent and its a great place for families or groups of friends.
Royal Chundu Island Lodge
Royal Chundu Island Lodge is situated approximately one hour from the Victoria Falls on an island on the Zambezi River. The lodge consists of four luxurious, private suites, each offering views of the river.
Royal Chundu River Lodge
Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge has a private and secluded setting approximately one hour upstream from the Victoria Falls, away from the hustle and bustle of Livingstone.
Royal Livingstone Hotel
This hotel has the prime location for the Victoria Falls. It is wonderful to be able to sit in the garden and hear the thunder and see the smoke. The great lawn is beautiful and the sunset bar, built on stilts on the river front, is a superb place to sit and enjoy the sunset.
Royal Zambezi Lodge
The lodge is located outside the national park in the Game Management Area, making it just a short drive to the park gates. Regardless of this, it has a great location right on the banks of the Zambezi river and is in a brilliant spot for watching the animals passing by.
Sausage Tree Camp
Sausage Tree is a superb camp, with ultra-luxurious rooms often surrounded by wildlife, particularly elephant and hippo. It enjoys a superb location right in the middle of the national park, and the guiding and service are both top class.
Accommodation at Shiwa is in the manor house itself. Guests stay in the family rooms which are furnished with original antiques, four poster beds and claw footed baths in the en-suite bathrooms.
Sindabezi Island Lodge
This is one of our favourite places to stay in the Livingstone area. Right in the middle of the river you are totally away from it all. It's an exciting place to stay as you're surrounded by wildlife, listening to the Zambezi flowing down toward the Victoria Falls.
The Southern Sun Ridgeway is located 2.7km away from the city centre and 27km from the airport. The hotel is a landmark hotel in Lusaka and each of the of the 155 rooms overlook landscaped gardens.
Sussi Lodge has a lovely location above the Zambezi. The rooms are very luxurious and stylish and we warmly recommend it. There are ten thatched and brick tree-houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank.
Tafika is located just outside the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa Park in a game management area. As it is a remote lodge, on walks and drives you will see superb game but few if any other vehicles.
There is no doubt that Tena Tena is a top notch safari camp. The tents are very luxurious and views of the river from camp stunning.
The River Club
The River Club is a very original property. It is very colonial but this makes it great fun. Where else in Africa can you have tea on the croquet lawn with the sound of hippos in the background? It is a well cared for property with staff going out of their way to look after you.
Thornicroft Lodge is situated just outside the main gate to the South Luangwa, on the banks of the Luangwa River.
This is a beautifully designed property in a great spot right in the national park, only a short drive from the Victoria Falls. The relaxed and flexible atmosphere means that is a great place to chill out before or after a safari.
Tongabezi is very stylish, beautiful and peaceful. It has five river cottages, one garden cottage and five houses in a tranquil spot on the banks of the Zambezi River. It is ideal for a really relaxing two or three night stay at the start or end of your safari.
Track & Trail River Camp
Located just five minutes away from the main gate into the South Luangwa National Park, Track and Trail is a charming small lodge, offering good quality accommodation, friendly staff and high standards of guiding.
Waterberry Zambezi Lodge is a pretty lodge located on the banks of the Zambezi River around a 45 minute drive from the Victoria Falls. As such, it can arrange flights over the falls, rafting or microlighting.
Zambezi Kulefu Camp
Kulefu is a wonderful camp really deep in the Lower Zambezi National Park. There are some exceptionally pretty game drives through little forests with small leafy clearings as well as near to the river. It is as yet, relatively undiscovered by tourists to Zambia.
Zambezi Sun Hotel
This hotel is excellent value for money and well situated close to the Victoria Falls. It is a large property but the prime location more than makes up for that.
Zungulila is the latest addition to the Bushcamp properties. The tented camp is set on a raised knoll overlooking a plain, with the Kapamba River snaking across one side of the plain into the distance.
