This morning you have a private guided tour of Imperial Rabat including the Tour Hassan and Mausoleum of Mohammed V as well as the medina and the enchanting Chellah. In the afternoon you might like to go across to Sale which is now linked to Rabat by a bridge but has not changed much since it was a trading port in the 16-19th centuries.
Day 3 Fez
Today your driver will collect you from your accommodation and you will drive to Fez via the Roman city of Volubilis and then on to Imperial Meknes - which although not as fascinating as Fez, is well worth the visit.
Day 4 Fez
You have a full day city tour of Fez where you will learn more about the city by not only visiting some of the historical mosques and the university but also the souq where you will be able to try your hand at bargaining.
Day 5 Fez
Day 6 The Erg Chebbi
Today is a long drive to the desert but the journey is really fascinating. You travel via Ifrane and then stop for lunch at Midelt before continuing to the Ziz Gorge and on to Erfoud where you will transfer into a 4WD that will take you into the desert where you will spend the night.
Day 7 Skoura
Day 8 The Atlas Mountains
This morning you will be collected from your hotel and taken up into the High Atlas Mountains via Ait Benhaddou and Telouet. Part of this drive will be done in a 4WD and is a real treat as the views are breathtaking and it is off the tourist trail.
Day 9 The Atlas Mountains
Embark on a half day hike with your private guide through the beautiful foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, through local Berber villages. In the afternoon, visit a school built and maintained by the Assafou Foundation, for children, women and men of villages who would otherwise not receive any education.
