Accommodations in Panama
There are many excellent hotels in Panama City and in the region surrounding the canal. Many of these are part of international chains and accommodate, in considerable comfort, the numerous business travelers to the country. In addition, hidden among the glass faceted towers are some charming characterful options.

Outside of the capital, accommodation is often (but not always) far more rustic, but offers the perfect base from which to explore the country’s remote and beautiful sights. Places to stay in the San Blas Islands and Darién National Park are the most basic, often with shared facilities, limited electricity supply and no hot water.
