Since the age of five, I‘ve made regular trips to Brazil to visit family and engage with my cultural background. These trips sparked a love of travel which has since taken me around the globe. From seeing the World Cup in Brazil to taking a dip in the thermal baths of Budapest, I‘ve made strong memories in every place I’ve visited.
Throughout my travels, I’ve inevitably made comparisons with Latin America and I’ve yet to find a place that can match its vibrant culture. I love to share my knowledge of the region and my passion for it, and have been lucky enough to explore even further with Audley. I’ve recently revisited Brazil and Peru, diving deeper into these destinations the Audley way. I got the chance to go trekking in the Amazon with a local guide, and we came across capybaras and blue macaws, something I could have never imagined.
I'll never forget when…
My heart has always lived in two places. Brazil is my second home and in 2014 I was working as an intern there during the World Cup. I met people from all around the world who had come thousands of miles just to support their team and their country. We exchanged stories, laughter and, of course, tears when our prospective teams were knocked out. It was the first time I was around so many different people from all corners of the world, and it really put into perspective how similar we all are and how small our world is.
