During university, Annie took a gamble on a summer job in Banff in the Rockies. The months spent among the spectacular scenery, hiking and spotting the wildlife developed her love of travel and passion for Canada. One of her most memorable days was spent hiking Cascade Mountain, one of the highest mountains in the Banff township and only open to hikers for a couple of months during the height of summer.
In the years that followed, Annie lived in and travelled the world, spending time in Thailand and South East Asia and most recently, two years working in Japan from which she was able to continue exploring Asia. Since joining Audley Annie has been able to return to Canada and revisit her home in Banff as well as exploring the eastern provinces. A highlight of the trip was driving the famous Icefields parkway between Banff and Jasper, passing by lakes, rivers and seeing the abundant wildlife.
I'll never forget when…
I took a scenic flight over Wells Gray Provincial Park, it was the perfect way to understand the scale of the park and how well it has been preserved and maintained. If you only have a short amount of time in the park then this is a great way to see the rivers and the waterfalls that it is famed for.
