Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, CanadaThe Blackfoot’s long and intimate relationship with the land is revealed by an inspiring wealth of First Nations carvings, petroglyphs, paintings and pictographs that cover the faces of sheer sandstone cliffs.

First created as a Provincial Park in 1957, the archaeological preserve was established in 1977 to ensure the protection of the largest concentration of rock art on the North American plains.
