Itinerary idea in detail

With international flights from a choice of airports including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to San José & Central Valley. You'll arrive in San José, be met by your guide, and transferred to your hotel for the night. The afternoon will be at leisure to relax and explore the city on foot.

  • Today, you'll be picked up from your hotel in San José and transferred to Puerto Caldera in Puntarenas in time to embark on your cruise in the afternoon.

  • You'll sail past Islas Negritos on your way to Manuel Antonio where you'll enjoy an optional tour of this famous wildlife reserve with your guide. After, the ship continues onto Playa Biesanz, where you can swim in the bright blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.

  • The next day, you'll arrive at Osa Peninsula, which is home to one of the Americas' best nature reserves, Corcovado National Park (an optional excursion). You could spend the day walking through the dense jungle searching for monkeys, macaws and the present but always elusive tapir. You can visit a nearby orchid sanctuary in the afternoon or swim in the protected bay.

  • You'll wake up in a new country, swimming and snorkelling in the morning in Granito de Oro before sailing to nearby Coiba Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest island in Central America. You'll have a beachside barbecue lunch and afternoon to relax. Overnight at sea to Iguana Island, Panama.

  • Arrive at Iguana Island, a wildlife-rich territory, a bird-watching paradise, and a key sanctuary for frigate birds. Snorkel the shallow reefs at the protected Isla Iguana Bay. Free time for swimming and snorkelling. You will see many colourful tropical fish, moray eels, rays and even turtles swimming in the warm Pacific waters. The island is a snorkelling and diving paradise as it has the biggest area of well-preserved coral reefs in the Gulf of Panama with 17 different coral species, more than 350 tropical fish species and over 200 species of invertebrates. Evening sailing to Playa Muerto/Darien National Park.

  • Today, you arrive in Darien, the southernmost point of Panama, where you'll have the option to visit the Darien National Park. Visit a local Embera village to learn about their well-preserved culture, listen to live music, view some of their beautiful handicrafts and enjoy a local meal. You'll return to the ship for lunch and sail to Panama City Flamenco Marina.

  • Today, you'll have the option of enjoying a Panama City tour, where you'll discover the old Panama City, Casco Viejo, its architecture, cathedrals and historical buildings. You'll return to the ship for lunch, and the ship will be positioned at the canal entrance for the canal transit starting at approximately 5.00pm. You'll cross the Pedro Miguel and Miraflores Locks before entering the Gatún Lake and cross the Gatún Locks.

  • Your cruise ends today and you'll disembark the ship in the morning to be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Panama City more by foot or perhaps relax on your last day of the trip.

  • You'll be transferred to the airport from your hotel in time for your international flight home.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
