This morning, visit the amazingly well-preserved tombs of the West Bank with your highly qualified private guide and driver. Your tour includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where you can enter some of the well-preserved tombs and try your hand at deciphering the intricate hieroglyphics that adorn the walls. You then continue to Hatchepsut’s Temple, an immense structure cut from the rock, and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon you return to your hotel, where we suggest visiting the spa for some rest and relaxation.

Meet your private guide again today for a half-day tour of the iconic and impressive Luxor and Karnak Temples. Luxor Temple is a structure which was added to by many Ancient Egyptians, but most important was Ramesses II who projected his military victories using the structure. Karnak is a vast complex of temples and covers over 100 acres, a testament to the power, wealth and might accrued by Amun. In the afternoon, you may wish to visit Luxor Museum, which is well-signposted and easy to explore independently.

Your private driver collects you from the Hilton Luxor, and you travel in a north-easterly direction, to the deluxe Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh in Hurghada. The journey takes around four hours as you make your way across the vast, timeless landscapes of the desert. You have the day at leisure to relax and soak up the sun, relaxing by the swimming pool or on the beach. You are staying on a half-board basis, so your breakfast and dinner are included. We recommend trying out the hotel’s snorkelling or diving facilities today to enjoy the underwater delights of the Red Sea. The Oberoi’s diving school is PADI certified and dives are supervised by a PADI certified instructor. Diving equipment is also available to hire.

Today is your final day at the Oberoi. Stay at the hotel and experience one of their complimentary Touching Senses activities, such as yoga, wine tasting, or a cooking class. Alternatively, book a 4x4 desert safari and head into the nearby desert to explore and experience the local Bedouin way of life. We suggest booking the tour at sunset for amazing photographs and an unforgettable experience.
